How do I register my child for Crete Public Schools?

All students, whether first-time attendees or returners, must register online for school. 

Students already attending CPS will register through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal, which may be completed HERE.

Students who are new to the district and attending Crete Public Schools for the first time will register through Infinite Campus, which may be completed HERE.

I am a new user in the Parent Portal; how do I get my Activation Key? 

Please contact the Cardinal Welcome Center at 402-826-5855 to get your activation key for the Parent Portal. 

How do I add a new sibling to our household?     

You can add new students to your household while registering your current returning student. This will be done in the Parent Portal when you click “Existing Student Registration.”  (Examples include; newborn child, added foster child, added stepchild, etc., any added child to your home.) What information do I need to complete the online registration? 

The following is helpful to have prepared before logging in to register:

  • Household address and phone numbers

  • Parent work, cell, and email address

  • Student birth certificate, immunization records, health information

  • Emergency contact phone number and address

How do I upload my child's birth certificate?

To upload a required document such as the birth certificate, physical, or immunization record, you can;  

  • Take a picture with your cell phone, save and upload it

  • If you have a home printer that scans, you can scan, save and upload

  • Come to the Cardinal Welcome Center, 930 Main Ave. Monday - Friday, between 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, and we will upload it for you

How do I know if my child need’s a physical examination? 

A physical examination by a physician, a physician assistant, or an advanced practice registered nurse is needed for students entering Kindergarten or 7th grade or students who have newly entered Nebraska or the United States.

A visual examination is also included in the physical examination. A physician, physician assistant, advanced practice registered nurse, or optometrist can complete the visual examination. 

Physicals can only be completed within six months before the start of the school year.

How do I know which registration to complete for the next school year?

What are the next steps after I submit my student’s registration?  

Online registrations will be reviewed by your enrolling school one student at a time. You will receive an email with the status of your student's enrollment along with the next steps. 

If you are registering more than one student, there will be a delay between status updates on each student. There may be instances when the school will need additional information to accept your application, and you will be notified accordingly. 

I have a kindergarten student to register. What documents are needed to enroll my student?   

The following documents will be needed for students in Kindergarten:

My child does not have all the required vaccines up to date. What do I need to do?

All students need to be up to date on vaccines or in the process of receiving them and have had the first dose of the required vaccinations before starting. Please return the physical/vision examination forms and immunization records to the Welcome Center as soon as it is complete.
