We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Brittany Hajek has been appointed as the Chief Academic Officer (CAO) of Crete Public Schools. Dr. Hajek's appointment follows an extensive search that included a thorough evaluation of several highly qualified candidates. We are confident that her passion for education, exceptional leadership skills, and strong background in academic administration make her the perfect fit for our district.
Dr. Hajek brings with her over 15 years of experience in education, including roles as a teacher, curriculum coordinator, principal, and most recently, the Director of Curriculum at Norris Public Schools. Dr. Hajek is a Crete High grad. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, a Master's degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment, a Master's and Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership. Throughout her career, Dr. Hajek has demonstrated a deep commitment to improving academic achievement for all students while fostering a culture rooted in relationships.
In her new role as CAO, Dr. Hajek will oversee all aspects of the district's academic programs, including curriculum development, implementation, assessment, student services, federal programs, and adult education. She will also work closely with the school board, district administrators, and educators to ensure that Crete Public Schools maintains its high standards for academic excellence while continually seeking opportunities for growth and innovation.
