Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we continue to develop our academies at Crete High School, I’m happy to say that our Freshman Exploration Academy has experienced much success this year. Your students have been hard at work in their Freshman Seminar class, researching a variety of careers and learning about the pathways the Cardinal Academies will offer.
After such consideration, it’s almost time for your student to make some decisions about their pathway going forward. On January 26, our Cardinal Academy selection site will open. Each student will get an email with the log in for the site in their Crete gmail. Over the weekend, your student needs to get online to submit their pathway preferences for the upcoming year. We hope for you to have ample opportunity to discuss the options with your student before they have to enter their decisions. Please refer to the programs of study on our school’s website. These documents will explain in more detail the requirements of each pathway.
A couple things to remember:
Students should prioritize their top three pathways.
The site will place students in a pathway using a computer algorithm randomizer.
Each pathway has a limited number of spots, so students should be sure to enter their preferences in order of interest. Our desire is to make sure students get one of their top three choices.
The site will be open from Friday, January 26 to Tuesday, January 30, 2024.
Once the site is closed students will learn which pathway they will be in on February 2nd during the selection celebration during the day.
