CRETE BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION
Boys and Girls Grades 3-8
The Crete Basketball Association (CBA) youth basketball programs are designed as a feeder program for the Crete High School basketball programs. Participants will be taught individual fundamentals and team concepts that are used as building blocks for the high school programs. The program will be open to all Crete boys and girls in grades 3 through 8. The program will consist of 1 or 2 practices per week, intra-squad competition, leagues and tournaments. The benefit of this program will be to group all Crete youth together so that the youth can begin playing and learning fundamentals that the Crete coaching staff feels are important to create depth and build a strong basketball program. The CBA and the basketball coaches for Crete High School govern the youth basketball programs. The CBA incurs various expenses for league fees, tournament fees, uniform tops, purchasing of basketballs, and is required to carry liability insurance. In addition to the annual fee, coaches may collect fees for additional leagues/tournaments or there may be some fundraising by the club to help with expenses.
All players will be placed on a team within their respective grade with volunteer coaches. Their coaches will schedule additional practices as well as any games, tournaments, or leagues. In order for CBA to operate successfully, we need quality individuals willing to volunteer to coach. If you are interested, please provide your name and phone number in the space provided on the registration form. It is also possible that each grade, in consultation with the CBA Board, may select a traveling team for participation in out of town tournaments.
If you would like your child to participate, please complete a registration form for your child and submit payment to “Crete Basketball Association” in the amount of $135.00. Each player receives a shooting shirt with the registration fee.
