Welcome to the Crete Elementary website!  We hope you use our website as a tool to stay updated with all the amazing things going on inside our building.

Crete Elementary is an amazing place to work and learn!  We currently have 606 preschoolers through 2nd-grade students who share their smiles with us every day.  Our students show their responsibility, safety, and respectfulness on a daily basis.  We are so fortunate to work with such fantastic students!  Crete Elementary also has a truly amazing staff.  The dedication of our staff to student achievement is evident in day-to-day interactions. 

During my first year at Crete as a Kindergarten teacher, I have indeed found this close working relationship and focus on what is best for children to exist here. It was a pleasure to get to know the students, staff, and parents here at Crete these last 16 years. I feel fortunate to have been appointed Assistant Principal at Crete and now Principal at the same school I attended as a young child. I have lived in the Crete area for over 35 years and attended Crete Public Schools. Go Cardinals!!  I graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha with a Bachelors of Science degree and received a Masters degree in Educational Leadership, Curriculum, and Instruction with an endorsement in Early Childhood from Doane University.  Parents, teachers, support staff, community and administration all have important roles to encourage our children to become active, life-long learners. It is my sincere desire to provide expanded opportunities for our students to acquire the skills to become productive citizens in our vastly changing society.  I am confident we can make our school a better place for our students to learn and grow.

We are very fortunate to have outstanding support of both families and the Crete Community.  Our Parent Advisory Committee is very active in helping make positive educational experiences for our children. Many parents can be seen offering their assistance to teachers both by volunteering at school and home.  The community of Crete wraps around the students of Crete elementary, making sure the students have exactly what they need to be successful at school and in life.  The staff at Crete Elementary is very thankful for the kind actions or donations, and day-to-day support is given by the community. 

At Crete Elementary, we are determined to ensure every student sees success every day.  Our hope is that we, in partnership with parents, lay the foundation for a child’s education and life by providing a well-rounded educational experience.  Our expectations for each student are very high for both academic achievement and behavior.
