The Crete community is gearing up for the 3rd Annual Cardinal Weekend, set for May 29–31—a special time dedicated to reconnecting alumni, celebrating school pride, and welcoming back familiar faces. All Crete High School graduates , past and present staff, and their significant others are invited to take part in this memorable weekend.
The festivities kick off Friday evening with a dinner at the Exhibition Building at Tuxedo Park. This relaxed and welcoming gathering is the perfect opportunity to catch up with classmates and friends. Tickets are $30 and must be purchased in advance—either online or at the Cardinal Welcome Center during regular business hours. Please note that tickets will not be available at the door.
Saturday offers a full day of activities, starting with the alumni golf scramble. Teams of four alumni can register for $400 and enjoy a fun, friendly day on the course. Also on Saturday morning, attendees are invited to explore the community through a series of open houses, including visits to the elementary school, the “new” high school, the new athletic complex, the Isis Theatre, and the Youth Cabin. Many featured and honored classes will also be gathering throughout the day, adding even more opportunities to reconnect.
Whether you’re returning for the first time in years or make it back every chance you get, Cardinal Weekend is a celebration of Crete’s strong sense of community and shared history. All are welcome to come back, reconnect, and be part of the tradition.
