Factors, including snowfall totals, drifting, winds, windchill, and our ability to clear snow from our parking lots and sidewalks, will be considered when determining if it is safe for afternoon/evening activities on Friday. Based on the National Weather Service’s Winter Storm Warning, there is no school or activities tomorrow, Monday, January 8, 2024. The National Weather Service predicts 8-12” of snow, which will begin falling after 8 AM on Monday. Wind gusts of 45 MPH in our area are predicted to begin Monday evening into Tuesday morning. Again, tomorrow, Monday, January 8, 2024, there will be no school or activities for all students. The NSAA is pleased to announce the launch of the Champions for Coaches award program. The program was designed to honor active coaches who go above and beyond for kids and the community. Students, administrators, parents/guardians, and community members are encouraged to nominate coaches that have made a significant impact in their school and community. Nominations will be accepted through Monday, January 22nd, 2024 and reviewed by an NSAA selection committee.
One individual in each of the 24 sports and five activities sanctioned by the NSAA will be honored at halftime of the 6 p.m. CST Class A Boys State Basketball semifinal game on Friday, March 8th, 2024 at Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln.

After two wins yesterday, both the boys and girls basketball teams will be playing in the championship games of the Doane Holiday Tournament today. Girls game at 4:30 and boys at 6:15. All CPS students get in for free!. (Regular season Doane/CPS admissions agreement does not apply to the Holiday Tournament).
Also, cheer on the boys and girls wrestling teams this holiday week. The boys travel to the Shelby/Rising City tournament tomorrow and the girls are in North Platte today. You can follow both events on www.trackwrestling.com
