This is a reminder that there will be no school for all students on Monday, February 2, 2026, for staff professional development.

As our school community continues to heal following the difficult loss we experienced on Friday, school counselors and our crisis response team will be available from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Monday at the high school for any student who may need additional support.

Wackel's Machine Shop and Andy Arkfeld have generously donated $10,000 to Crete Cardinal Academies to support the purchase of new equipment for our welding and Career & Technical Education (CTE) classrooms. This investment will provide students with hands-on access to industry-standard tools, helping them develop real-world skills and prepare for high-demand careers. We are grateful for their commitment to education and workforce development in our community.

Today is National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, and we want to give a huge shout-out to the two people who work every day to keep our halls safe and our smiles brightβ€”LT Jonas and SRO Zach!

Being a School Resource Officer is about so much more than safety. It’s about being a mentor, a listener, and a friendly face in the hallway. Whether they are directing traffic, checking in on a student, or just cracking a joke at lunch, Jonas and Zach make Crete High a better place to be.

Thank you both for your dedication, your patience, and your service to our students and staff. We appreciate you!
Drop a comment below to say thanks or share a favorite memory with Officer Jonas or Officer Zach! πŸ‘‡
