We are deeply saddened by the events of Friday, June 28. Our hearts go out to all those affected by this traumatic incident.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Crete Police Department, the Saline County Sheriff's Office, the Nebraska State Patrol, and all the first responders who acted quickly and bravely to ensure the safety of our community. Your dedication and service are truly commendable, and we want you to know your efforts are deeply appreciated.
Crete is an amazing place to live, and it is our unity and resilience that make our community so special. It is essential for us to stay together and support one another.
Crete Public Schools is ready to provide services and work with any student, staff, or community member needing support during this time. Our counselors and support staff will be available at the following locations and times:

Dear Parents and Students,
The new school year is fast approaching, and with it, the start of all activities and athletics. To participate, each student-athlete must complete the Activity Packet, which is available in both the Middle School and High School offices or may be printed online at https://cretepublicschoolsne.sites.thrillshare.com/o/chs/documents/activities/650710.
Additionally, students in grades 7-12 wishing to participate in activities and athletics must complete a Drug and Alcohol Testing Consent form per Board Policy 5306. The consent form is part of the annual Online Registration/Information Update that all families must complete to confirm or update their demographic information. If you have already completed the online registration, including the drug consent, you are all set, and we will confirm this in our report.
If you have not yet completed the online registration/information update, please do so at https://cretepublicschoolsne.sites.thrillshare.com/o/cps/page/enrollment to ensure your information is up to date and to take care of the random drug testing consent form.
All forms, physicals and the online registration with drug testing consent must be completed and turned into the office before the first day of practice on August 12th. Coaches will not allow any participant to practice without these forms.
We appreciate your cooperation in completing these steps before August 12th. If you need assistance please stop by the High School Office or Cardinal Welcome Center and we will gladly help you out.

🚫 Unfortunately, the Pool Party has been canceled due to the forecast of inclement weather. After consulting with the City of Crete and considering the number of families expected, we decided it is best to err on the side of caution.

If your planning to participate in a MS or HS sport next school year, you must have a physical exam, and parental consent forms. Now is the time to get these scheduled as local providers fill up fast. Forms are in the HS and MS offices.

Further congratulations from State golf to Wyatt Clarke. Wyatt finished tied for 53rd place in his final appearance as a Cardinal!
Outstanding conclusion to his senior year! Reece Vertin finishes in 6th at NSAA State golf. Not only was Reece a golf medalist, but he also participated at state in football and basketball this season.
