Dear Crete Elementary Families, Great news! Heating and flooding challenges have been resolved, and school will resume tomorrow, January 23rd. Thanks for your understanding and patience. We're excited to welcome students back!

I'm sorry to inform you that the elementary is experiencing no heat and flooding issues, so there will be no school or CCLC tomorrow, Monday, January 22, for all PK-2 students. Our team is working hard to ensure a quick return to school. Again, there is no school or CCLC tomorrow, Monday, January 22, for all PK-2 students.

Due to varying road conditions, drifting, excessive winds, and timing, Friday, January 19, 2024, there will be no school. Decisions about after-school activities will be determined at a later time. Due to extreme temperatures and deteriorating road conditions, Tuesday, January 16, 2024, will be a 2-hour late start, and there will be no district-provided bus or van transportation before and after school. There will also be no morning preschool. Please know that each parent and guardian has the right to decide if the weather is safe for your student to attend. Again, a 2-hour late start on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, with no district-provided bus or van transportation before and after school and no morning preschool. Please allow yourself plenty of time to pick up your student from CCLC and practices, as there are various road conditions throughout the district. Due to the impending weather, there is no school on Friday, January 12. A decision about activities will be made at a later time.
