CPS Families

We are excited to share that the Annual Student Information Update for the 2026–2027 school year is now open! This important process ensures we have up-to-date information for your student and helps us prepare for another great year of learning.

What You Need to Do
All returning families must complete the Annual Student Information Update through their Infinite Campus Parent Portal.

Visit the online registration site:
Complete Student Information Update
Alternatively, visit the Enrollment page on the CPS website and click the Parent Portal link.
https://cretepublicschoolsne.sites.thrillshare.com/o/cps/page/enrollment

Deadline
Please update all student information by May 1, 2026. This ensures your child’s contact details, emergency information, and permissions (field trips, photos, handbook acknowledgments, etc.) are correct before the new school year begins.

Why This Matters
Completing the annual update helps us:
Confirm important contact and health information
Ensure your student is correctly enrolled for the upcoming year
Ask for necessary permissions (pictures, activities, etc.)
Streamline school start-of-year preparation

This replaces the paper forms that were sent home in the past.

Need Help?
If you need assistance, have questions, or need help accessing the parent portal:
Call your school office
Or stop by the Cardinal Welcome Center at 930 Main Ave., Crete

Our staff will be happy to help you navigate the process, set up your Parent Portal account, or answer your questions.

Thank you for your help in ensuring a smooth and successful school year for all our Cardinals!

Be well and Go Cards!

Crete Elementary students worked with partners to celebrate the 2026 Winter Olympics. They used three different robots to mimic six of the Winter Olympic Games. After successfully following algorithms and troubleshooting, they earned gold or silver stars! They had a blast celebrating this event that only happens every four years!

This week, 10/11 meteorologist, Carmelo Lattuca, came to visit with our kindergarteners. He taught them more about severe weather and how to recognize bad and good clouds. He also explained his job as a meteorologist to wrap up our kindergarten seasons and weather unit. Our kindergarteners were also on the 10/11 news.

This is a reminder that there will be no school for all students on Monday, February 2, 2026, for staff professional development.

As our school community continues to heal following the difficult loss we experienced on Friday, school counselors and our crisis response team will be available from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Monday at the high school for any student who may need additional support.
