Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, will there be enough room? Mrs. Willey's preschoolers kicked off their Trees study with a fun and engaging challenge! Students were tasked with building their very own trees and seeing just how many letters they could balance on top. The activity turned into a lesson in perseverance as, each time a tree toppled, the class would cheer together, “Oh No! Chicka Chicka Boom Boom!” Then, without missing a beat, they’d start building again.

Help lower student stress by encouraging attendance when students are feeling well.
Kindergarten students ended their unit on Nursery Rhymes with the "Nursery Rhyme Olympics!" Students put Humpty Dumpty back together, tossed "stars" into buckets and many more activities! They ended in the gym with a reenactment of The Tortoise and the Hare.
On Friday, September 13, the preschool students from Mrs. Muff's class ventured up to the Crete Community Nature Explore Classroom (located on the south side of the Doane College campus.) They explored the nature classroom as well as a few other exciting activities with Doane education students participating in Science Methods. This is a great experience for the children, and it’s a wonderful place to explore and use nature as our teaching tool.
