👑✨ Hear ye, hear ye! Crete Elementary Kindergarteners wrapped up their "Kings and Queens" unit in the most royal way— with a Royal Tea Party! 🎉☕️
Dressed in their finest attire, our little royals enjoyed celebratory snacks and drinks, paraded in style, and even learned some elegant dance moves fit for a grand ball. 💃🏰
A huge shoutout to our amazing Kindergarten teachers for making this such a magical and memorable experience! 👏👑

Due to the Winter Storm Warning, CPS will be closed on Wednesday, February 12. The forecast calls for 5-7" of snow and wind gusts up to 25 MPH. No school and no activities.

A huge thank you to Mrs. Moore for inviting special guest readers to share their love of books with our students in the library for World Read Aloud Day! 🌟 There’s nothing better than hearing a great story read aloud. Thank you to all who joined in to make this day unforgettable!
Protective factors are characteristics of a community that help promote healthy development for all community members. Having positive social connections to individuals, service providers, and service organizations is one protective factor. Join the Community Cafe parent leaders as they lead a conversation that will help community members know more about each other and the service providers and service organizations that exist in our community.

🎭📚 Shoutout to Mrs. Stutzman’s 2nd grade WIN Group for their incredible work on their reading skills! Last week, Mrs. Sell and Mrs. Carriker had the pleasure of observing a creative "Reader's Theater" performance featuring "The Bad Luck Clan"—a story told from the perspective of discarded objects near a trashcan. 🖊️📎💄🍬
From a pen and paperclip to lip gloss and Bob (a blob of gum 😄), each student brought their character to life with expressive reading and confidence.

📚✏️ Our first graders are officially authors! 🎉 Today, they shared their very first piece of writing, taken all the way through the writing cycle, with peers from another class.
After reading about animals in their Skills readers, students chose an animal to research using their readers and PebbleGo. They recorded fascinating facts, drafted their writing, edited their work, and proudly presented their final pieces. 🐾✨
We are incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication shown by both our first-grade students and their amazing teachers throughout this process! ❤️ #CardinalPride
