We are deeply saddened by the events of Friday, June 28. Our hearts go out to all those affected by this traumatic incident.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Crete Police Department, the Saline County Sheriff's Office, the Nebraska State Patrol, and all the first responders who acted quickly and bravely to ensure the safety of our community. Your dedication and service are truly commendable, and we want you to know your efforts are deeply appreciated.
Crete is an amazing place to live, and it is our unity and resilience that make our community so special. It is essential for us to stay together and support one another.
Crete Public Schools is ready to provide services and work with any student, staff, or community member needing support during this time. Our counselors and support staff will be available at the following locations and times:

π« Unfortunately, the Pool Party has been canceled due to the forecast of inclement weather. After consulting with the City of Crete and considering the number of families expected, we decided it is best to err on the side of caution.

This is a reminder there is no school tomorrow, Thursday, May 9. We wish our Boys Varsity Soccer Team the best of luck as they compete in the state tournament tomorrow at noon. We will see all our students back at school on Friday, May 10. Go Cards!


Our Boys' Varsity Soccer team is headed to Omaha for the 2024 Boys State Soccer Tournament! This season, the team has showcased tremendous dedication and teamwork. We wish them the best of luck as they compete.

Pioneer Day is successfully underway!






This afternoon, we experienced a tornado warning, leading us to activate our emergency procedures. Students and staff followed safety protocols, by sheltering in interior rooms. Following the all-clear, students resumed their regular class activities. If you have any questions, please reach out to the school.


The deadline for registering K-11 grade students for Cardinal Camps and summer transportation is Monday, April 29, 2024, at noon. No camp or transportation registrations will be accepted after this date and time.
