As of March 14, 2025, we have used four full snow/weather days. Because students receive three β€œfree” snow days, they now need to make up one instructional day. Please note that if the district must close school on additional dates, our plan may need to be revised. After exploring multiple options to ensure the best student learning experience, we are converting a scheduled β€œno-school” day into an instructional day rather than adding all missed days at the end of May. This approach will help us maintain meaningful instructional time and engagement. Our seniors’ last day will also be adjusted to meet the instructional hours set by the Nebraska Department of Education. Student Make-Up Day- April 22, 2025β€”Previously a no-school day, it is now a regular school day for all students and staff. Thank you for your understanding as we strive to provide our students with the highest-quality education. Please contact your student’s building principal or the district office if you have any questions.

As we continue to monitor the forecast, we have decided that tomorrow, Wednesday, February 19, 2025, will be a regular school day. We will continue to monitor the weather for Thursday and make a decision after we have the latest forecast from the National Weather Service. Crete Public Schools recognizes the right and responsibility of parents in the matter of school attendance. This leaves the discretion and judgment of parents to decide whether or not their student(s) attend school during inclement weather. Be well, and Go Cards!
