Did you know...Children’s mental health is important. Students who miss just 2 days of school a month tend to be more stressed and anxious. Help lower student stress by encouraging attendance when students are feeling well.

We are pleased to announce that Crete Public Schools will not increase its property tax request by a percentage greater than the Allowable Growth Percentage. Despite impressive student enrollment growth of nearly 12% over the past five years, our commitment to offering competitive salaries and benefits for our staff, and managing the challenge of rising costs, we are continuing to work hard to support our community. In fact, the Board of Education is reducing the property tax levy for the fifth time in six years—this year by $0.03. Additionally, we will not be participating in the Joint Public Hearing because we are not exceeding our allowable growth percentage. Thank you for your continued support of Crete Public Schools! Together, we are building a strong future for our students and community.

Did you know - Don’t let 2 missed days define your year! Research shows that most students with just 2 absences in the first month of school go on to miss more than 25 days total. Start the year off strong by making sure students are in school whenever they are not sick.
