Activate! Local is an opportunity to connect with other parents, build leadership skills, learn how to advocate for your child, and make a positive impact in our schools and community.

Weekly meal pick up starts Wednesday July 1st and will continue through the month of July.
No income verification, available to any child ages 1-18.

Crete Staff, Students, Parents, and Community

As part of our commitment to maintaining high-quality facilities for our students and community, we would like to inform you of the summer closures for key field areas.

Effective immediately, the following fields will be closed through the summer:

• The football/soccer field/track located by the Intermediate School

• The Softball Field

• The practice fields on the east (new practice fields) side of Iris Avenue

These closures are necessary to prevent damage, allow for turf regrowth, and ensure the fields are fully rejuvenated and ready for the 2026–2027 school year.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us preserve these important spaces for future use.

Please note: The practice fields located behind the high school remain open to the public throughout the summer.

Thank you for your continued support of Crete Public Schools and our efforts to keep our facilities in top condition for students and community members alike.

Summer hours from June 1 to July 31, 2026, for all CPS buildings will be:

Monday–Thursday: 7:30 AM–4:00 PM

Friday: 7:30 AM–2:00 PM

REMINDER: Federal Programs Non Public Consultation Notice
On Wednesday April 15, 2026 at 2:00 pm, a meeting regarding federal programs including special education services for nonpublic schools will be conducted by Crete Public Schools. The purpose of the meeting will be to provide an opportunity for parents who have parentally-placed their child in an approved and/or accredited nonpublic school or exempt home school and representatives of nonpublic schools to participate in the development of a plan regarding federal and special education programming in the nonpublic schools for the 2026-2027 school year. Parents of children attending a nonpublic school or exempt home school within the boundaries of Crete Public Schools are urged to attend. The meeting will be held at the Cardinal Welcome Center, 930 Main Avenue.
